Where VIP tiers and points expiry sit. On Smile they start on the Growth plan, so a store on Essential or Standard cannot run a VIP program. On Froonze they start on Loyalty Advanced. Froonze VIP programs have up to 5 tiers. Members can enter by total spend, order count or points balance. Status can last forever or reset monthly, every few months or yearly, and each tier can have its own points multiplier.

What Smile has that Froonze does not. Bonus events, gift card rewards and subscription rewards sit on Smile's Standard plan. Froonze covers bonus events with a Shopify Flow workaround and does not offer gift card or subscription rewards. Free product rewards start on Smile's Essential plan. On Froonze you can restrict a spending rule to one product to get a similar result.

What can be moved from Smile? It depends on what Smile lets you export.
How does data come in? Migrating loyalty data from Smile to Froonze requires CSV files. The data points need to be paired during the migration process. This is available on every Loyalty plan.
Who does the work? Merchants can use the available self-serve tools to migrate their loyalty data. Froonze Support can assist with the import.
What should you test first? Points balances, VIP status, reward emails, referral links, and POS and checkout behaviour.
