Most Shopify stores spend months perfecting the storefront and then send customers to an account page they can’t really change. Shopify lets you add a widget here, link to a page there, but the layout stays Shopify’s.
Froonze replaces that generic account page with a full portal you actually control. Customers manage their profile and addresses, check their orders, and pick up where they left off with recently viewed products, all in one branded place. From there, you build it out: add your own custom pages as tabs, switch on Froonze's own Wishlist and Loyalty plugins, and if you already run other apps for subscriptions, invoices, returns, or digital downloads, those can be added too, instead of scattered blocks and outbound links.
Customer Portals: A Space You Shape Around Your Brand
A customer portal is the logged-in space where people manage their relationship with your store, their profile, their orders, the things they've saved, the perks they've earned. The big platforms figured this out long ago: think of everything an account does for you on Amazon or eBay. It’s a space built around the brand and its customers, not a generic panel every store has.
What separates a real portal from a stock account dashboard is that you get to shape it. You decide how it looks, so it reads as part of your store rather than a generic panel. You decide what goes in it: orders and addresses, sure, but also your own pages, saved products, a rewards balance, all in the order you want. You can even tailor what different customers see, showing a VIP, a wholesale buyer, or a subscriber content nobody else gets. The portal bends to how your store actually works instead of forcing your store into a fixed template.
That control is also what makes it a genuine self-service space. When customers can track an order, reorder, update details, or start a return themselves, they get answers without waiting on you, and you handle fewer routine tickets. A branded, customizable portal is where a better customer experience and lower support load meet.
Froonze Account Plugin: Overview and Features
The Account Widget replaces Shopify's default account page with a portal that looks and works the way you want. You control the styling, so it feels like your store instead of a stock Shopify panel. You decide which tabs appear and in what order, and you can show different customers different content. Everything runs from the Froonze dashboard, no theme code, no developer, and it's live in minutes.
Here's a difference most merchants don't realize until they see it side by side. Shopify's customer accounts are hosted by Shopify, on a separate space away from your storefront, so when a customer opens their account, they leave your themed site behind. Your header, your navigation, your fonts, your footer: gone, replaced by a plain Shopify-hosted page. The Froonze portal lives inside a page on your own storefront, which means it keeps your theme's header, navigation, and styling like any other page on your site. The customer never gets handed off to somewhere that doesn't look like you.
It works with both new and legacy Shopify customer accounts, so you're covered whichever system your store runs today, and after you migrate.
Froonze Account Plugin Features
- Profile management
Customers view and edit their own details: name, email, phone, gender, and date of birth. - Address book
A dedicated section where customers add, edit, and remove saved addresses. - Order history
Every past order in one place inside your branded portal, each with a Reorder button. - Self-service order cancellation (add-on)
Let customers cancel unfulfilled orders themselves. You stop paying support time to process cancellations, and customers stop waiting on an update to do something simple. - Custom pages
Add any Shopify page as a new tab in the portal: returns policy, shipping info, size guides, care instructions, a members-only page. Tabs can be shown conditionally based on customer tags, so VIPs, wholesale buyers, or subscribers see content nobody else does. - Custom navigation builder
Drag tabs into the order you want, rename them, hide what you don't need. The portal matches how your store actually works. - Recently viewed products
Brings browsing history into the account page so customers can pick up where they left off. - Full styling control
Style settings for colors, fonts, and layout, plus your own CSS if you want to go further. The portal should look like your brand, not like an app. - Multi-language support
Translate the portal into any language Shopify supports, and rewrite any frontend text to match your voice. - App integrations
Pull tools from the other apps you already run into the same portal. More on this below. - Wishlist tab (separate plugin)
Add the Froonze Wishlist plugin and customers' saved products appear as a tab right inside the portal. See the Froonze Wishlist plugin for the full feature set. - Loyalty tab (separate plugin)
Add the Froonze Loyalty plugin to give the portal a loyalty tab, points balance, earning activity, available rewards, VIP tier progress, and referral links. See the Froonze Loyalty plugin for details. - Custom forms (separate plugin)
Collect extra data from customers directly in their profile, or on any page of your store. See the Froonze Forms plugin for more information.
App Integrations: Your Whole Stack, One Page
Integrations come in two shapes. Some are inline elements added to existing sections like an invoice download link or a returns button on each order in the order history panel. Others are full dashboards that load as their own tab, like a subscription management panel.
Setup is a toggle in the settings. There's nothing to code, and nothing to embed.
Subscriptions and memberships
The strongest use case for integrations. Subscribers check their account page constantly to skip a delivery, swap a product, or update a card. Putting that panel inside your portal means they never bounce to a separate app-hosted page.
Supported: Recharge, Appstle Subscriptions, Appstle Memberships, PayWhirl, Subscriptions by Yotpo, Seal Subscriptions, and Loop Subscriptions.
Order management, invoices, returns, and tracking
These integrations add buttons and links directly into the order history panel, so customers handle post-purchase admin without opening a ticket.
- Invoices: Order Printer Pro, Vify Order Printer, Invoice Wizard, Sufio
- Order editing: Orderify
- Returns: AfterShip Returns Center, Return Prime
- Tracking: Parcel Panel, 17TRACK, Track123
If you sell B2B or to customers who expense their purchases, self-service invoice downloads alone will pay for the plugin.
Digital products
For stores selling PDFs, eBooks, sample packs, or any downloadable file, the download links appear right on the order. Customers always have a way back to what they bought, which is where most digital-product support tickets come from.
Supported: Fileflare Digital Downloads, Sky Pilot, SendOwl.
Email marketing
Klaviyo connects to the portal so the data your customers give you—profile details, birthdays, activity—can drive segmented campaigns and flows.
Loyalty and rewards
If you're already running a loyalty program on Smile, Yotpo, Rivo, BON, or Rise.ai, the integration displays that program's widget inside the account page so customers see their balance and rewards without leaving. Your dates of birth captured through Froonze get pushed across too, so birthday rewards work.
These are good apps, and if one of them is already embedded in your workflow, keep it. The integration exists precisely so you don't have to rip it out.
That said: if you're choosing a loyalty program now, or you're paying for one and not thrilled about it, run the numbers on Froonze Loyalty first. It's the same app you're already installing for the portal, which means:
- The loyalty tab is native, not embedded. It's part of the portal rather than a widget loaded into it, so styling, translations, and navigation all behave like the rest of the page.
- The features are there. Points and native Shopify store credit, VIP tiers, referrals, points expiration, birthday and anniversary rewards, Judge.me and Shopify Flow integrations, and scannable digital loyalty cards for Shopify POS, features other apps commonly reserve for their $200–$999/month plans.
Wishlist
Same story. Froonze integrates with Swym Wishlist Plus, Wishlist Hero, Wishlist King, and Wishify to surface a customer's saved products inside the portal.
If you're already committed to one of those, the integration is there. But the Froonze Wishlist plugin is worth a look before you commit:
- Multiple lists per customer and guest wishlists that carry over when they create an account
- Back-in-stock and price-drop emails built in: these are the two automated emails that actually recover revenue, and several wishlist apps gate them behind higher tiers
- CSV import and export: your wishlist data is yours to take with you
- No action-based billing: you're not paying per wishlist actions or watching credits drain as traffic grows
The pitch isn't that the other apps are bad. It's that if the wishlist and the loyalty program and the account page are all one app, you get one system, one settings dashboard, one invoice, and one support team to contact. That's less work for you, and a more coherent experience for your customers.
