Judge.me is the review app many Shopify stores install first, because the free plan doesn't run out. There's no order cap and no limit on reviews, and the free plan sends review requests automatically. It's a decent starting point. The questions come a few weeks in: why don't customers who ignored the first email get a reminder? Why is there a spam review on the product page? Why does every email say "Powered by Judge.me"? Those answers all point to the same place, the Awesome plan.
Judge.me's pricing page lists the headline features of each plan, but not every setting that's locked. So we installed Judge.me on a test Shopify store on the Forever Free plan and opened every page, tab and setting in the admin. (We didn't click any upgrade buttons.) Here's what we found.
Judge.me pricing plans at a glance
| Plan | Price | Reviews and orders | Over the limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forever Free | $0 | Unlimited | No limit to go over |
| Awesome | $15/month | Unlimited | No overage fees |
Prices are in USD and come from Judge.me's pricing page, its Shopify App Store listing and the plan page inside the app. Judge.me's own line is that "$15 per month is the most you can ever pay us". The App Store lists a 15-day free trial of Awesome. The website and the in-app plan page don't mention a trial.

What you get on Judge.me's free plan
Here's what showed no lock on the Forever Free plan:
- Reviews: unlimited product and store reviews, with photos and videos. A dashboard with filters, tags, manual replies and export.
- Review requests: unlimited automatic request emails after fulfillment, requests for past orders, and links and QR codes. You can edit the subject and main text, and send from your own email domain.
- Moderation: auto-publish every review, or approve each one by hand.
- Widgets: 13 of Judge.me's 21 widgets, including the Review Widget, Star Rating Badge, carousels, a reviews grid and widgets for customer accounts. Custom CSS works on the Review Widget and Star Rating Badge.
- SEO: star ratings in Google search results and Google Business Profile sync.
- Imports and analytics: imports from about 25 review apps, spreadsheets, AliExpress, Amazon and Etsy, plus analytics for any date range.
That's enough to start collecting reviews.
The features stores usually upgrade for
These are the locked features that most often make the $15 worth it. The full list of 63 follows below.
- Review reminders: a follow-up email to customers who didn't leave a review after the first request. Often the easiest way to get more reviews.
- Spam and profanity filters: catch junk and offensive reviews before they reach your product pages, plus rules for which reviews publish automatically.
- Custom questions: ask about fit, size or skin type on the review form, and show the answers next to each review.
- Q&A: shoppers ask questions on the product page, and you answer them in public.
- AI Reviews Summary: a short AI-written summary of what customers say, at the top of your reviews.
- Review translations: show each shopper reviews in their own language.
- Emails in several languages: on Free, every review request goes out in one language.
- Email design: a drag-and-drop editor, colours, fonts and layout, so request emails look like your brand.
- Review Widget design: title styling, the rating bar chart, search, sorting, pagination and what each review shows, such as avatars and variants.
- Product review groups: share reviews across similar products, so a new colour or size doesn't start with zero reviews.
- Removing Judge.me branding: "Powered by Judge.me" in your emails and the Judge.me checkmark on reviews.
- Google Shopping: your star ratings on Google Shopping ads and listings.
- Integrations: Klaviyo, Shopify Flow and loyalty apps all need Awesome.

All 63 features locked on the free plan
On the free plan, 63 features in the Judge.me admin are locked. 61 are marked as Awesome features (mostly with a green star that says "Upgrade to the Awesome plan to enjoy this feature"), and 2 are switched off without a label. Judge.me has only one paid plan, so every one of them costs $15/month. We've grouped them by what they do and merged small related settings into one row. Click View to see the screenshots from our test store. In them, a green star next to a setting means you need to subscribe to Awesome to use it.

Is Judge.me Awesome worth $15 a month?
If you're just starting out and only need a review widget and request emails, the free plan works, and it doesn't stop working as you grow.
Once reviews start to matter for sales, most stores will want Awesome. Reminders bring in reviews the first email missed. The spam and profanity filters keep junk off your product pages. Q&A, AI summaries and Google Shopping put your reviews in front of more shoppers. And at a flat $15 with no order cap, the price doesn't climb as you grow, which is rare for Shopify apps.
Our take: Judge.me's pricing is simple and predictable. Plan on Awesome if reviews are part of how you sell, and use the free plan to try the app first.
Get more and better reviews with Judge.me and Froonze Loyalty
A review request is easier to say yes to when there's something in it for the customer. That's where loyalty points come in. We make Froonze, and our Loyalty plugin connects to Judge.me, so each review a customer leaves earns points they can spend on their next order.
Once the two apps are connected, Froonze adds a Write a review earning rule for Judge.me reviews. You decide what earns points:
- Extra points for photos and videos, so customers have a reason to add the content that sells your products best.
- Verified buyers only, so the points go to real customers.
- Only reviews with photos or videos, if that's what you need more of.
- A daily limit on rewarded reviews, so nobody farms points.
Customers see the rule on their loyalty page (for example, "Up to 150 points for a review") before you even send the request email. And points don't sit idle: customers spend them on discounts or native Shopify store credit, which brings them back to buy again. That's the loop behind a loyalty program that keeps customers coming back: buy, review, earn, buy again.

What it costs: loyalty integrations are on Judge.me Awesome ($15/month), and on Froonze Loyalty Advanced ($10/month, up to 500 orders). That's $25 a month for both, and Loyalty Advanced also includes VIP tiers, referrals and points expiry. Setup takes a few minutes: see our step-by-step Judge.me integration guide.
Want to spend less? Froonze also has its own Reviews plugin, in the same app as Loyalty. Every review feature is included from the smallest plan, and points for reviews work on the Loyalty free plan. For a store with up to 100 orders a month, reviews rewarded with points start at $5 a month (Reviews $5 + Loyalty Free), with one app and one bill.
How we checked: we installed Judge.me on a test Shopify store on the Forever Free plan and recorded every locked feature in the admin on October 30, 2026. Prices come from Judge.me's pricing page, its Shopify App Store listing and the in-app plan page on the same date.
Judge.me can change its prices, plans or features at any time, so check judge.me/pricing for current numbers. Judge.me is a trademark of its owner, and this article isn't endorsed by Judge.me. Spotted something out of date? Let us know and we'll fix it.
