Growave is the all-in-one app a lot of Shopify merchants pick because the free plan covers loyalty, reviews and a wishlist at once. It looks like a lot for $0. There are two catches. First, the free plan doesn't last: after 500 orders in total, Growave's widgets switch off until you pay. Second, the features that matter show up as soon as you try to run a real loyalty program: a referral program, birthday rewards, a Klaviyo connection, VIP tiers for your best customers, points that expire. None of those are on the free plan. That's when most stores find out the price of the plan they actually need, and for a loyalty program with VIP tiers it's $199 a month.
Growave's pricing page lists headline features, but not everything that's locked. So we installed Growave on a test Shopify store on the Free plan and opened every page, tab and setting in the admin. (We didn't click any upgrade buttons.) This guide is what we found.
Growave pricing plans at a glance
Growave prices by monthly orders and by features. Each paid plan includes an order allowance and bills extra orders per 100 when you go over.
| Plan | Price | Orders included | Over the limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 200 a month, 500 in total | Widgets and emails stop until you upgrade |
| Entry | $15/month | 500 a month | $20 per extra 100 orders |
| Growth | $199/month | 1,500 a month | $15 per extra 100 orders |
| Plus | $499/month | 3,000 a month | $10 per extra 100 orders |
| Unlimited | $999/month | No cap | Not applicable |
Prices are in USD and come from Growave's pricing page and its Shopify App Store listing. Paid plans come with a 14-day free trial. Two things don't match between the two: the Free plan appears on the App Store and inside the app but not on growave.io, and Unlimited appears on growave.io and inside the app but not on the App Store.
What you get on Growave's free plan
To be fair to Growave, the free plan isn't bad as a starting point. It covers 200 orders a month and includes reviews and a wishlist. Here's what showed no lock on the Free plan:
- Points: points for sign-ups, orders, reviews, newsletter sign-ups and 9 social follow and share actions, with earning limits, minimum purchase, delayed points and customer-tag targeting.
- Rewards: amount and percentage discounts, with redemption limits, collection rules and redemption at checkout.
- Reviews: all 7 review widgets, the first review request email, auto-publish by star rating, verified-only reviews and CSV import.
- Wishlist: all 4 wishlist widgets, guest wishlists and sharing by link, email and social networks.
- Customers and data: customer profiles with manual points changes, CSV import and export, and analytics for points, reviews and wishlists.
That's enough to switch points on and see if customers use them. It isn't a loyalty program most stores keep for long. On Free you can't:
- run a referral program or give birthday rewards,
- connect Klaviyo or any other integration,
- send review reminders after the first request,
- change the widget colours or the wording of any email (every email footer says it was sent by Growave.io),
- offer VIP tiers, points expiry or store credit.
The free plan ends at 500 orders
The 200-orders-a-month limit isn't the only one. Growave's pricing FAQ says: "On the Free plan, the monthly limit is 200 orders, with a total limit of 500 orders." Once a store reaches 500 orders in total, "Growave widgets will stop working, and no further email notifications will be sent."
So the free plan isn't a plan you can stay on. A store doing 200 orders a month uses it up in about two and a half months. A store doing 100 orders a month gets five. After that, your loyalty program, reviews widgets and wishlist go dark until you pick a paid plan. In practice, it's a free trial measured in orders.

41 features locked on the free plan
On the free plan, 41 features in the Growave admin are locked: 14 need Entry, 21 need Growth and 5 need Plus. The plan names below are the ones Growave shows on each locked feature inside the app, or on its App Store listing where the app doesn't name one.
Entry: $15/month
The first paid step is cheap, and it unlocks the things most stores expect early on: referrals, integrations, and control over how Growave looks and sounds to your customers.
- Referral program, including fraud reports, referral emails and referral analytics.
- Every integration, including Klaviyo, Omnisend, Attentive, Gorgias and the Google Shopping review feed. Growave also caps how many you can connect: 1 on Entry, 3 on Growth, unlimited from Plus.
- Birthday rewards, Buy X get Y and Spend X get Y earning rules.
- Free shipping and free product rewards.
- Redeeming rewards in Shopify POS.
- Customer Q&A, 2nd and 3rd review reminders, review grouping across products and review translations.
- Widget design: colours, light or dark mode, icons and launcher style.
- Email wording and design for every email.
- On-site nudges and custom icons for earning actions and rewards.

Shopify POS is locked too. Inside every reward, the "Shopify POS" option under "Available on" is switched off on Free, and Growave's App Store listing puts Shopify POS on Entry.

Growth: $199/month
This is the big jump: 13 times the price of Entry. Growth holds most of what turns a points program into a loyalty program, so it's the plan most growing stores end up on.
- VIP tiers, including the tier-unlocked email and VIP analytics.
- Points expiry with warning and last-chance emails, and reward expiry emails.
- Store credit and gift card rewards.
- Boost campaigns (bonus points events), punch cards, points per item and customer metafield triggers.
- Loyalty QR codes and Apple/Google Wallet loyalty cards.
- Rewards page, the loyalty info widget and the customer account extensions (rewards, wishlists, earned points and review requests on account and order pages).
- Custom domain for referral links.
- AI review summaries and custom review attributes.
- Wishlist on-sale and back-in-stock emails and gift registries.
- Shoppable Instagram galleries.

Plus: $499/month
Plus holds two features a lot of growing stores ask for: points at checkout and API access. Both cost $5,988 a year on Growave.
- Checkout extensions: let customers redeem points at checkout, and show potential points, a reviews slider and referral rewards there (Shopify Plus stores only). Redeeming at checkout is one of the most requested loyalty features, because customers spend points right when they're paying.
- Developer API access, for headless stores, custom apps and connecting loyalty data to your own tools.
- B2B points: separate earning and spending rules for business customers.
- B2B (corporate) wishlists.
- Custom reward actions for any action you define.

Order limits and overage fees
Growave counts your orders every month. On paid plans, going over doesn't stop anything; it adds to your bill:
- Entry: $20 per 100 orders above 500.
- Growth: $15 per 100 orders above 1,500.
- Plus: $10 per 100 orders above 3,000.
- Free stops at 200 orders a month and ends at 500 in total. Unlimited has no cap.
Two things follow from that. First, Entry gets expensive quickly: at about 1,500 orders a month, Entry plus overage costs more than Growth. Second, overage lands in your busiest month. A store on Growth that usually does 1,200 orders and does 2,500 in November pays for 1,000 extra orders: 10 × $15 = $150. That month's bill is $349 instead of $199.
You pay for the whole bundle
Growave is several apps in one: loyalty, reviews, wishlist and Instagram galleries. But you can't choose which of them you pay for. Every plan covers all the modules at once, and the price is set by the most demanding feature in any of them.
Say you want a loyalty program and product reviews, and you don't need a wishlist or Instagram galleries. There's no way to switch on only those two modules and pay only for them. You pay for the entire bundle, and if your loyalty program needs VIP tiers, that bundle is $199 a month, gift registries and Instagram galleries included.
Merchants have asked for something different for years:
"I would pay $5-10 for that, but I didn't want to pay $30/month for additional features that we wouldn't have used." Growave merchant review, April 2021, 2★
What Growave actually costs a typical store
Here's what you'd pay for some common goals, based on the locks above:
| What you want | Growave cost |
|---|---|
| Points, reviews and a wishlist, until you reach 500 orders in total | $0 |
| The same after 500 orders | $15/month |
| Referrals, birthday rewards or Klaviyo, 400 orders a month | $15/month |
| Customizable email templates (your own wording and design) or widget colours | $15/month |
| Referrals, 1,500 orders a month on Entry | $215/month |
| Loyalty with VIP tiers, points expiry or store credit | $199/month |
| Loyalty with VIP tiers, 2,500 orders a month | $349/month |
| Apple and Google Wallet loyalty passes | $199/month |
| Redeeming points at checkout or API access | $499/month |
The 1,500-order Entry line is $15 plus 10 × $20 overage: at that point Entry costs more than Growth. The 2,500-order line is Growth's $199 plus 10 × $15 overage.
Is Growave worth the price?
For a brand-new store that wants to test points, reviews and a wishlist, the free plan is fine for a few months. It ends at 500 orders in total, though, so it's a trial, not a plan.
The trouble is price, and how it changes. We read all of Growave's App Store reviews rated 1 to 4 stars. Of the 83 with written comments, 11 complain about price, and 7 of those are about price increases for existing customers. Growave's plans have changed several times, and the merchants who wrote in weren't kept on their old price:
"They just announced another price increase, forcing you to pay $200 a month what used to cost $49 !!!" Growave merchant review, February 2025, 1★
"Large increase in price with no real viable upgrades. … No grandfathered pricing." Growave merchant review, December 2023, 1★
Our take: Growave is a good choice if you'll use most of what Growth bundles together. It's an expensive choice for the typical growing store, which wants loyalty with VIP tiers and referrals, maybe reviews, and has no use for gift registries and Instagram galleries. And if you need checkout redemption or the API, the price jumps to $499.
If you only need part of the bundle
We make Froonze, so take this section with that in mind. We price the other way round, in two ways. First, if a feature isn't listed against a paid plan on our pricing page, it's on the free plan, and our free plan has no lifetime order cap. Second, Froonze is also one app with loyalty, reviews and wishlist, but each module is a separate plugin with its own plan. You switch on the ones you need and pay only for those.
- VIP tiers, points expiry, referrals and integrations from $10/month on Loyalty.
- Your wording, in any language, on the free plan. Loyalty Free includes full text editing for widgets and emails, multiple languages and customizable HTML email templates. Growave locks email wording and widget design to Entry.
- Store credit rewards on the free plan, paid out as native Shopify store credit.
- Points at checkout and API access for $60/month on Loyalty Unlimited, instead of $499.
- Reviews from $5/month, with every review feature on every plan.
- Wishlist free up to 100 orders, with every wishlist feature on every plan, including back-in-stock and price-drop emails (Growth on Growave).
- No overage fees. Loyalty tops out at $60/month with no order cap.
- Free migration help from Growave, on every plan.
How we checked: we installed Growave on a test Shopify store on the Free plan and recorded the plan named on every locked feature in the admin on October 25, 2026. Prices and order limits come from Growave's pricing page, its Shopify App Store listing and the in-app billing page on the same date. Review figures come from all 1,290 of Growave's Shopify App Store reviews, collected on October 24, 2026.
